AIB Homes
Renovation Website That Answers the Only Question Homeowners Ask: How Much?
Category: Construction · Type: Renovation Website + Instant Estimate Tool · Duration: 5 weeks
Challenge
Replace an aging WordPress site that ranked for cost queries but converted almost none of them
Answer the first question every homeowner asks, long before they pick up the phone: how much
Turn anonymous traffic into named leads that arrive with a defined scope of work
Cut wasted site visits by qualifying budget and scope before the estimator drives out
Keep all pricing logic under the contractor's control, not hidden inside the software
Rebuild the page structure so Google and AI assistants can quote the site directly
Business goals
- Capture homeowners while they are still researching cost, instead of losing them to generic price articles. Deliver leads that already carry a defined scope of work, so estimating time goes into real jobs and fewer site visits are wasted. Keep pricing accurate and under the contractor's control as material costs move. Build a page structure around room and city searches that both Google and AI assistants can quote.

Design approach
The site had to do two jobs at once: look like a builder you would let into your house, and work like a sales tool. Warm residential photography and calm beige tones carry the trust half. The calculator carries the sales half, and it is deliberately a guided flow rather than a form: one question per screen, a running summary panel, and an AI preview of the finished room as the reward for reaching the end. The price is the last thing shown, not the first, which is what makes the contact step feel earned rather than demanded.
